Galleywood Celebrates the Queen's Jubilee and Olympics

On the 2nd of June 2012 Galleywood will be holding a Jubilee Parade and Fun Day.

The aim is to bring the whole community together to celebrate the Jubilee and forthcoming opening of the London 2012 Olympic Games.  The parade will start at the Jubilee Park and process to Galleywood Common and the Heritage Centre.  Galleywood Common will be the venue for a mini-olympics, fun day and cultural olympiad.  Other attractions include: local talent show, group demonstrations, helicopter rides, classic cars and much much more!

What will the award be spent on?

If they recieve the £1000 grand award, it will be spent on setup costs for the event; marquee, staging, toilets and public seating.  The Galleywood Celebration 2012 will, with the support of volunteers and local busiesses, showcase what goes on in Galleywood and our surrounds.
