Dementia Adventure April Winners

Dementia Adventure poll 285 of the 666 votes registered to win the April public vote.  The group will be using their award to run weekly walks, throughout the summer, for people living with dementia and their carers.  The walks will take place in and around Chelmsford including Hylands Park.

Kids Inspire scoop March award

Kids Inspire win the March vote and will recieve £1000. 

The group received 341 votes; more than half of the total cast.  Kids Inspire supports disadvantaged children and families to achive their full potential and to become confident people who can engage positively in the community and society and experience a happy and fulfilling family life.

Chelmsford Granted City Status

Chelmsford has been granted City Status to mark this year's Diamond Jubilee.

The town beat off competition from a number of others across England, including Southend, to win the "civic honours" accolade.

The awards were granted by The Queen under the royal prerogative, following advice from ministers.

 

Galleywood wins Grand Award

 

Congratulations to Galleywood Celebrates, who have won February's Grand Award.

Voting was incredibly close, with Galleywood pulling ahead in the final hours of the poll.

Well done to all three contenders, each worked incredibly hard to gather support and continue to do great work for communities in Chelmsford.

Our first grand award winners!

The Friends of Marconi Ponds win the first ever Chelmsford Grand Award.

The group are going to use the award to purchase equipment and materials to build a trim trail to run through the nature reserve.
